From Wet to Dry
Water is a huge part of life at SERVPRO of Lower Manhattan. We get various calls all the time related to water and the damage it can cause. It is so important to us to make sure that we bring our moisture meter with us when initially inspecting water damage claims. As you can see here in the picture on the left, the moisture meter is reading 999 which is extremely wet. This specific wall was made out of concrete and calls for a longer drying time. When we leave equipment overnight we need to make sure that it is constantly on so the drying can be completed. While some customers do not find the noise to be pleasant, turning off the machines only delays the drying process. The photo on the right indicates what your moisture meter should read post drying.
